4 Objectives
e-Factory target small to mid-sized manufacturers using and to
provide the robust functionality of the Egyptian manufacturers and their
production facilities, class business and production systems that until now
were feasible only for large enterprises .
e-Factory designed for make-to-order and
make-to-stock manufacturers and not
limited the typical industry
e-factory members should have manufacturing system or agree to use e-Factory
outsourcing , and should have Internet connection .
e-Factory
works and activities
1-
a company (registered Requester) submits a
Request for Quotation. This RFQ includes an outline of the product or
commodity they need - such as delivery dates, quantity and even attachments.
The Requester then assigns a start and close date to the bid, decides
whether they want the auction be an open or sealed bid, and then
submits the RFQ on-line. From here, the bidding begins.
If the Requester is a first time e-Factory user and
has no experience with preparing RFP nor RFQ, then
the Requester goes through RFP registration screen and run RFP/RFQ fill down system for Requesters then the system release the RFQ. One mandatory
data is a banking data
2. Bidding
companies (registered Presenter) see the RFQ, and fill out the on-line
form to respond - this includes their company details, product descriptions
and payment information. The Bidder and Requester are invited to contact each
other during the process. The bidder can submit their response and
revise as many times as they choose - so long as it is before the close date.
If the Presenter
is a first time e-Factory user and has no experience with present his
capability. Presenter can
obtain Manufacturers orientation
program for traditional
Presenters. And if the Presenter
wishes not to include accessing presenter to his production
process tracing through the net feature then he can disable Providing MES&ERP solution consultancy
and Interfaces for qualified Presenters feature.
3. After the
close date - the Requester reviews all bids and decides if any of the bids
match their request. If so, they can accept any of the bids.
Once
the bid is awarded, the Bank check system open or activate both
Requester and Presenter accounts and inform them. And all parties including
the bank sign the Electronic
contracting. At the same time, a
quality control parts get a copy of contract and RFQ AS well to follow quality assurance
and to approve money transfer.
Thus , the Presenter and Requester have succeeded
in reaching new business over the web while both of them can access and tracing
production process and payment process through Payment on
production/delivery tracing system for Presenters , Online money transfer and
Bank account check, and Production tracing system for Requesters
